i think there's nothing to argue about... Guam have its Filipino roots. FYI guys, way back before, i dont know what year, there was a time that guam was devastated by hurricane or maybe because it war( i'm not sure but there was really a time that guam got devastated) so, the government of guam asked the philippine government to help guam, so what the phil. government of the phils. did was the y sent their prisoners to guam to help restore the island of guam,
How is this a scandal? Both are Spanish influenced. The Philippine costume is more ostentatious here. Truth be told though, how is it a national costume when most people are poor. It's not really true to form nor a true reflection of native dress.
@superman7926 not exactly spanish influence "barot saya" national costume exist before spanish colonization it just evolved during colonization.. look at boxer codex a woman dressed in a prototype to the barot saya. BTW guam have no identiy in their national costume they just copy Yuck!
This national costume is SPANISH influenced so it is owned by Spain. Neither Guam or the Philippines owns this. Both countries are spanish influenced, more so Guam. BTW- Miss Guam is way hotter than Miss Phillipines in this pageant. Miss. Phillipines looks like she has down-syndrome!
because it took to long, most of the phil. prisoners settled in guam... and maybe it all started all...

Philippines - 3rd world country and also the nationality of my housekeeper.
Guam - U.S. Citizen and destined for greater things than being a Filipino.
Enough said.
