@nsekh085 Evolution can. Emotions are the result of physiological reactions in the brain. Emotions depend on how we react to our environment to give us the best possible chance for survival & pass our genetic info. on. I agree, theres still a lot of things we still do not know, but that does not mean we can go and explain everything by saying there's a god.
Its like seeing a pot of gold & immediately associating it with the existence of leprechauns even tho there's no evidence the 2 r connected.
-
@ItsOneInAMillion Sorry no! Science cannot explain why I have emotions. If I am only evolving, then I dont need to be have emotions to survive. In fact, emotions should have been naturally selected out...they can make a person weak. How can science explain emotions through evolution. The whole evolution idea is good and all but it falls extremely short of explaining the world still.
-
@ItsOneInAMillion I dont think so. Although it has been true throughout ages that religion has caused more wars than peace. This also depends on the beliefs of their religion. Sikhs do not beleive their way to be superior. This fact resonates throughout our history. If we believed as much others that we are superiors, when we protected the Hindus from Islamic invasion...we could tried to abuse our power and converts Hindus to Sikhs...and obviously...we did not.

@325782 very true!
-
@MrTeejaysingh You are more likely to commit wrong actions if you have a religion to do it for.
-
@ItsOneInAMillion .... totally agree, im born of a sikh family but im also(have always been) scientifically minded, however, its not the person or belief system that defines you, (i must agree with the nihng singh) its your actions,
-
@OkurkaBinLadin And sir, Religion is the master of humans into puppets, not free thinking.
-
@OkurkaBinLadin I have power within me. I have the knowledge within me to tell me what is right and what is wrong. You don't need god to tell you that. Belief in evidence is the strongest thing we have. This is what a scientific world thrives on... and this is what we need to aim for. Our primitive 16th century beliefs are keeping us from a better world for everyone. Once you start believing in the supernatural and the irrational, that's when scientific advancement stops.
-
@ItsOneInAMillion What is knowledge without any faith to back it up? Who are you but puppet, if you have no power within you?
Believing blindly into priests is as bad as believing blindly into scientists (paid usually by corporations).
- Former atheist.
-
God probably doesn't exist. Religion divides, please reject all of your beliefs. What you know has been taught to you by your parents, and it's not necessarily correct. Believe in science, because it is evidence backed!
A former sikh.
That's incorrect sir. The Khalsa led by Guru Gobind Singh Ji never instigated a battle with Mughals, Hindus, or anybody else, but always fought in a defensive capacity. It is true that he sent Singhs to assist Bahadur Shah in his war of succession, but the Khalsa never invaded any territory until after he was martyred.
Moreover, there is no instruction to keep the hair until Muslims are gone. Sikhism embraces other religions and rejects forced conversions.
