IMF/World Bank protests turned hot and heavy on April 25 in DC. Before it even started, new services were reporting 14 broken windows at PNC Bank-and more at Wachovia Bank and a condo building. Protesters finally deployed at about 7AM. While blockades of IMF delegate routes failed, eventually all groups converged and took the streets over the objection and resistance of the cops.
Cops eventually blasted 30 people with pepper spray trying to force protesters OVER A FENCE and into a park! In the process one protester received a broken leg. One cop reportedly was treated for pepper spray exposure after being hit by return fire from alleged pepper spray wielding protesters as well. Oh well,cops-gotta give some to get some...
