The road to Jaffna

On the road to Jaffna somewhere between Mankulam and Vavuniya around 24th July 2011. This journey was made to take part in a sponsored walk to raise money for a Cancer charity hospital to be built in Jaffna. The walk commenced at Dondara (south Sri Lanka) and was to end a few days after this was shot at Point Pedro. We were travelling pretty fast in a Hyundai Tucson at speeds approaching 75MPH at some parts which is pretty fast for Sri Lankan roads. Interesting Archaeological ruins north Anuradhapura along the road. Most towns are pretty low key with a splatter of untidy shops.
