At over 9 minutes this is my longest compilation. There were scenes from another episode I wanted to add but the file was corrupted. That made me angry! Very angry indeed! I hope y'all enjoy this. Comment, rate... whatever.

  • Marvin, Owl Jolson, 3 Little Bops, the Mynah bird,...No wonder these are classics. Played these for some kindergardeners, they stopped watching the pc pap on Qubo and loved theses old classic cartoons. Our gen has Family Guy? Can't imagine 70yrs from now anybody will be watching that.

  • @cleoshepardchou Kindergardeners? That's even younger than I was when I started watching these. They ARE classics which is why they've had such wide appeal for so long. Today's cartoons seem to be full of irony and a little anger. The only one I can stomach is Futurama - and that's kinda adult. But put goofy characters in unusual situations and that's Looney Tunes. Guaranteed to make you laugh.

  • call me crazy, but around 7:58 the big white thing reminds me SO much of Lenny from 'Of Mice and Men' the way he says 'Really George, Tell Me George'. It's like when George is asking Lenny to tell him the story about the rabbits. OMAM was published in 1937 but I dunno when this was made, but if it was made after, do you think that could have been a subtle reference? Sorry, I'm probably looking WAYYYY too much into this XD

  • @chaziscool1092 Actually ... you are correct indeed! The show's writers and animators often gave a nod to their favorite books, movies, etc. Sometimes they were subtle (like with this one) and at other times they were in your face like the Barber of Seville. These nuances were what made Looney Tunes so special. So keeping that hyperactive imagination purring, doc!

  • No problem spacecowboy (great song by Steve Miller by the way, give a listen if you haven't already). When I attended college, I had the opportunity to hear a presentation by the late and very great Mel Blanc. He was a very nice man. When it came to the question and answer period, he would answer the questions in the voice of the character of whom the question was about. He was hilarious! What an amazing gifted talent, RIP Mel Blanc.

  • @BIRISHPM Yup! That song was how I got my nickname. Sadly, I never got to meet the phenomenon that was Mel Blanc. But at a Looney Toons festival I got to sit beside June Foray (Witch Hazel, Rocky the Squirrel) and she told me some hysterical stories about Mel Blanc. There will never be another voice talent like his - ever.
