unfortunately brother, people hate the salafia, but most of them do because they do not know what it is, but it is steriotyping that they are extreemist because they look like some of the bin laden's people, but alhamdolelah, I'm very optimistic when I see many of talabat al3elm around everywhere, that should help, inshaallah things will get better because even my brothers do not like the salafi people.

its true yet for some reason the ahlul hadith are demonised and hated by the many muslims because they simply understand. they are seen as extreme wahabis. i always tell ppl what could be possibly be wrong with ppl who call to the book and the sunnah!
