Watch the videos through first, then pick up your hook. Use pause a lot! Try again trying when you have less distractions.

I am having trouble :-( I have watched this video and the others several times and for some reason it keeps turning out looking like a circle instead of a square????

your first round will look like a circle, but if you tug on the two chains you have between each group of 3 double crochet stitches, it will look more square. your following rows will look more square.

I followed your videos on granny square. Thank you. My queztion is..when i go on to the next row, how many do i chain to start it? Do i increase by 1 chain for each row? Thank you

Yuou chain 2 or 3 to make it the same height as the double crochet stitches. No need to increase chains. Every row will grow because of the corners. Each row will have one more shell on each side.

I don't consider myself a beginner since I know most stitches and can follow most patterns. I've never done a granny square and I came across it in a pattern book it was labelled beginner. The instruction confused me but watching this the instructions make a lot more sense. Thanks
