Installing the Aura Vent install video #1

Here's how you easily install the Aura vent in a shingle roof without having to take the shingles off and re-install them. We've installed hundreds of tubular skylights like this and to date have never had a leak.
Once the flashing is slid up under the shingles, it is removed, silicone added, re-installed and then screwed down with 2" wood screws and power driver. You will see several videos showing how to remove the shingles to install a flashing. This is possible with newer shingles but virtually impossible when they are older, dried out and most likely will break off if you try and remove them.
