@MrGoliathsound This show was mostly stuff like "Did Kurt Cobain commit sucide or was it murder and Courtney's involved somehow" or "Did the CIA kill Bob Marley?" and the usual never be solved stuff like "Who killed Tupac and Biggie?" or "Do Heavy metal songs played backwards have evil messages in them?"

@rsohlich1 I am very sure there's more to it. When you try to cover 25+ years of Syd's history in less than 4 minutes stuff gets left out. I wouldn't say it's a "load of bullshit," as somebody commented. But if I was to sum it up as quickly as VH-1 tried to, I'd say there was a race between mental illness and drug abuse as to which got Barrett first. LSD wins by a nose! {lol}

@JohnCarrington1 I dunno, I know people who have changed forever from LSD. And I do believe he probably did have some sort of mental illness too, but the acid sort of fried him out I think. I dunno, I'm sure theres more to it.

This is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard. The whole acid thing was so blown out of proportion; LSD doesn't cause mental illness and I really think that those annecdotes regarding Syd's use of acid were wildly exaggerated. It's also such a shame to claim that Syd was "not very well cared for," what the hell does he know? Syd's sister and family seemed to have really done their best. It wasn't Syd's fault that he developed a mental illness; that could not have been prevented.

BULLSHIT DOCUMENTARY> they probably used WIKIPEDIA as their main source. If he had a mental breakdown how is it that he made three albums, or sorry, had recorded enough for three full length, one double album? He just had different priorities, is what I think. He would rather get high, jam, play shows, and continue the next day. The rest of the band wanted the lime light, the fame, the money. Huge differences. Poor Syd, his friends ditch him and steal his band. Pink Floyd owed you SYD!!!
