There is a lot of talk about the way animals are treated now in factory farms, as opposed to the "humane" way they used to be raised. These idiots are saying "the animals are treated well; allowed to freely roam and graze and screw", right up until they're murdered by the same people they claim have the animals best interest at heart. I wouldn't give a damn if all of these animals were treated like kings and queens, and walked on rose petals, if the end result is being murdered for their flesh.

Kapparot is not biblically or Talmudically ordained. It is a non-Jewish ritual and many Rabbis oppose it. Also, Jews are prohibited from inflicting unnecessary pain upon animals. For this reason, many people substitute money for the poor rather than use a chicken. In my opinion, Kapparot is unnecessarywe have Yom Kippur for atonementwe dont need chickens.
