Today we are going to show you part number TH990 the Double Track from Thule. What we have here is a wheel mount bicycle rack that will carry 2 bikes. It is also good for an 1 1/4 and 2 inch receivers. First thing we will show you is how it is converted from an 1 1/4 inch to a 2 inch receiver. To remove the sleeve here there is a simple allen headed bolt you take apart. The allen head here comes with the bike rack in this case. You just slide the sleeve right off. Now it is ready for a 1 1/4 receiver. We will go ahead and install the rack on our 2 inch receiver here. Once we have that installed we can go ahead and install our anti-rattle bolt. It does come with a tool to tighten it down. To cover a few more features about this bike rack it does have these nice padded hooks that hold the bike into place.

You also have these gears that hold it into place so basically all you have to do is push the hook down onto the bike and it will stop right there. You do not have to worry about twisting a knob or anything. It is self locking you pretty much push it down then forget it. Another good part about the gears is that they can actually upgrade to use key locks on them to add security to your bikes. The center post also moves out of the way so you can get your bikes in. Next we will show you the wheel mounts here. They are pretty nice in the fact that to tighten them down they have a little locking lever here. Pretty much the same way as the quick release axles that are on bikes. You just twist them and loosen them up. Then you can move them back and forth until you have it where you want it. When you are done you just twist it back and it locks into place.

The straps that holds the wheels down are very nice too. This simple lever just unbuckles and what else is nice is that this here is designed for 2 different bikes. This contour here is made for a road bike wheel. You can also flip it over and this last spot here is designed for a mountain bike wheel. While it is on your vehicle while your bike is unloaded. It is always a good idea to store it up and out of the way. You can easily do that by pulling this lever here and you can pull the rack of vertically. We will go ahead and install our bike and show you how it works that way. Set it towards the front of the vehicle then pull this middle bar up and and snap it into place then pull down on it. Once your bike is set that way you can go ahead and tie down your wheels. We will go ahead and add a second bike to it. Now you have a pair of bikes loaded and ready to hit the road.
