@Haaggus I understand that Sharp was reckless and overconfident in trying to climb Everest solo; he had soloed Everest twice before, and he seemed to think he was invincible because of those successes. And I also have nothing but praise for the mountaineers who tried (but failed) to save Sharp from his own audacity and get him back down the mountain. But I simply can't reconcile the idea of anyone being apathetic enough to walk right past Sharp without even pausing to ask, "Do you need help?".
@BloodyBay Well the david sharp thing.. he was extremely irresponsible. Survival of the fittest, ya know? Life is about mitigating risk, and he neglected to do that.
Much respect to this man. He's one of the most accomplished mountaineers alive AND he'd put his own life at risk to rescue trapped mountaineers. He's the furthest type of human being from those callous hearts who didn't even ask David Sharp if he was okay while they trudged past him at Green Boots Cave on Everest, I'd say.
