@xxsaranglubxx It seems they use the foam as a plug, not as a core. It is removed later, that is why they put tape and wax it. See part 2.

It's actually funny to see them acting like they know what they're talking about...If you want to make a foam carbon fiber composite...you don't want to cover the foam rectangle with tape because the epoxy resin will bond to the tape and not the foam core...You want to bond the pregnated carbon fiber to the foam core in order to increase the stiffness while maintaining a large strength to weight ratio...I guess it's okay for a high school project.

Btw you missed one trick - pulling a strand out to give you a clean line to cut to ;) Although thats a hugearse fucking sheet of CF so i doubt it would work. Wait how the hell do you even fund this :|
