  • A very basic indication of a tendu. There is so clarity of line, a lack of sustained turn-out. A tendu requires lots of floor pressure and use of the metatarsals, there is none of this here. Your ports de bras is extremely juvenile and your supporting leg needs more turn out. I would recommend more training.

  • @ilyuafvr The reason why she isn't getting very technical is because she is teaching beginners ballet. When you are just starting out, mastering the moves is probably more important then preparation.

  • this is actually hideous.

  • I can't believe this is serious >.>

  • omg! she needs to learn to pointe her toes!!!!

  • Her ballet is atrocious. There is no other word for it ... she's not using the floor, she's not using demi-pointe, she's not opening or closing from or into any known position, her hips are not aligned properly nor staying still. I mean, seriously?? It's fine if she's an older adult taking classes for the fun of it, but to be in a position where you're allegedly teaching others 'ballet' is just WRONG!

  • Epic Fail!

Man.. That almost made me cry...

  • if she's so bad then put up videos of how to do it right? especially for people, like myself, who would like to learn basic ballet without paying a lot of money for a class.... and i'm not trying to start an argument or anything. I just don't understand why anyone isn't backing up their bashing with a video response or anything..

  • Shouldn't a tendu start at demi-pointe and slide into a pointe? I suppose someone with 25 years of experience should know this instead of just sticking their leg out into a pointe. These are the kinds of videos that make me scared of taking any old dance class since these people are supposedly experts. What are they teaching their students? and her alignment is just awkward to the point I don't really see what she's doing.

  • TURN OUT YOUR BACK LEG!!
