VOTE JOE MARVIN | Campaign Ticket: Joe Marvin '12 (President), Max Koch '12 (VP), Grey Congo '12 (Secretary), Jimmy Davis '13 (Treasurer)
--
A few things the student body of Gonzaga should know about Joe Marvin as an individual is that I am outgoing and genuine. When I commit to something, I pursue it. As student government president, I will seek to accomplish all the forums I have proposed to the best of my ability for the benefit of all Gonzaga students.

From my three years at Gonzaga, I have come to know that leadership is not a stranger in my life. In 2009, I was elected captain of the Freshman Football team and this year I served as a leader for the 2011 Freshman Retreat. As an athlete, I hold varsity letters in two sports: football and golf (3 years; with one WCAC Championship).

Despite the leadership positions and athletic accomplishments I have attained at Gonzaga, I would rightfully say my greatest accomplishment has been receiving my acceptance letter for the Class of 2012. I was speechless and taken back like never before. The classes we sit through, the air we take in, and the steps we take on this hallow ground are providing us with the best foundation we could create for the amazing adventure of life. As brothers, we have developed the motto "Men for Others" ... and without a doubt, I strive to embody that saying everyday.

I was raised a Christian child in beautiful Potomac, MD, but I am not oblivious to the horrors that surround us daily. Poverty is a real life issue that lurks behind almost every corner in D.C. While in office, one of my top priorities will be extended community service opportunities in and around campus. It is difficult to raise the money to travel across the nation in search of service, but in reality, it's quite easy to help out our neighbors.

I am a hard worker, I love my classmates, and most importantly I love my school. I bleed purple through and through, and I'm here to serve as president for me and you.
