Yeah I can consider that, but that was almost 20 years ago. You can say if the wind was this, this runner would have ran that. I see your point, but it's a kind a pointless argument. That 21.34 will never be broken.

have you consider Merlene Ottey 21.64 had she had wind of 1.5 she would have ran 21.4+ the odds are good under good conditions with all sprinters turning up at the right time. I had my doubts about the 200m world record but once I learn about positive & negative wind readings that change my perspective

let's look at the 200m Flojo did run 21.56(+1.7) in her semi final in Seoul and then 21.34(+1.3) in the finals -she had good wind reading. Gwen Torrence in '95 in a -2.2mps headwind despite being dq ran 21.77 converting that would be 21.53! under good conditions and let's say Jeter, Fraser and Stewart takes the 200m seriously there's no telling how fast they would have ran...

let's be frank, Flojo did run 10.61 which shows that women can run within that time frame clearly while the 10.49 is questionable the 10.6 is attainable for sprinters who are dedicated to the task. despite her ban Katrin Krabbe in '91 ran 10.99 @ the world champs in -3.0 mps headwind converting that would be an amazing 10.68! bear in mind Torrence and Ottey would have ran 10.72 and 10.75 if that head wind was not there!

that's correct but also Cathy Freeman of Australia lowered her personal record of 50.21 in '95 to 48.63 in'96

I honestly don't think Carmelita is using drugs mainly because when she ran 10.64 VCB didn't seem to far behind her and neither did the rest of the field. Point is now that's she's slayed the Jamaicans (Kerron, Shelly-Ann) people want to say she's using drugs? That's ignorant and unfair, no one has any proof, she never tested positive, people need to give it up.

She ran a 10.61 in the trials final to make it through with ashford and torrence coming in 2nd and 3rd. That 10.61 was not wind-aided because her time was never modified after that. It stayed as it ws
