Salam Brother/Sister. Its not good to say this is the shiya way of praying, b/c there is only one way to pray and that is how the Rasool (saas) prayed, and as Shias we pray exactly how he did (hands down to the side), There is a big difference between asking for something (dua) and Worshipping (salat) even though Allah (swt), with His Mighty Mercy and Grace, gives us good deeds for both. The important thing is that i hope you learned something today. Salam.
