This is Amazin now i do not need to buy a wii sensor
-
tried this after my sensor broke, now the kids holler, "Dad, can you light the candles so we can play Wii please" lol
-
yesterday i found out my wii's sensor bar's wire was cut, im being dead serious somebody cut the damn wire. then i tried to splice the two wires together to try and fix it, but then it didnt work, then i completely un plugged the sensor bar, and i aimed the wiimote to the tv and it worked, no candles or anything. even worked with the lights off. Im just gonna get a wireless sensor bar now... hooray..

@stellviashipon22 Mine does that too. it reacts to the infrared coming from your tv like your regular remote control. the wiimote is connected by bluetooth to your wii not the sensorbar.
-
um i don't have any light around my TV or Wii and me sensor is the wireless one so if it is dying i leave it off and for the game i am playing i don't need it but it is work with out it it never happen before so why now and why is it doing that and my Wii is one of the first one it is old not new

this works because there is an infrared camera in the wiimote and the sensor bar really does not sense anything, it just gives off infrared light, and is only connected to the wii for power. the wii communicates with the wiimote with bluetooth or something.
