Ok so we did look a squid before and how to add time restrictions so you can reduce the stress levels keeping the kids controlled on the internet. That was with the command line which is fine for some folk but not all. SO have a look at openSUSE 11.2 and the YaST utiltity to manage the proxy server. You will love it!!

  • Hi, what software solution you use to capture your screen? I have OpenSUSE but can't find good program to record my desktop. I need this for school project.

    Thank you for your help!

  • @svtraiden The machines are virtual running in windows. So I can use camtasia studio for the captures. You can download 30 day free trial

  • Great video can you do one on Dansguardian or another content filter with auto update.

  • @ryanp171282 I have a video on squidGuard

  • @theurbanpenguin well... too bad then. I am running OpenSUSE not as Virtual Machine. So this solution doesn't apply for me I guess. Please inform me if you have some Linux solution for that in mind.

  • I have squidGuard setup at the office for testing at the moment seems to work ok however cannot get connected to one of my customer ssl vpn anymore it just sits there trying to connect on the rdp bookmark
