They built 400 miles of road in 8 months,

They had over 800 trucks running when they built this road from fairbanks to prudhoe bay, as none existed previously. The road was 30 feet wide, and crossed 109 mountain ridges. The grades going uphill were 3 times steeper than allowed by law in the lower 48(16 %) and those trucks carrying all that weight didnt have enouph power to get up the hills, therefore, they had to get up as much spped as possible on the downhill side. Making the corners was the worst part for them, Over 500 crashes-2yrs

I ended up in the Snowy Median a few years ago much thanks to a fourwheeler who slammed on his brakes and spun out in front of me. I ended up hitting him after taking a wild ride through the middle. State Trooper was right behind me when it happened. He asked the fourwheeler why he hit his brakes....He said he thought he saw ice... Yeah, dude, we have been on ice for over a hundred miles!!!
