Who ever gave smautomat a thumbs up doesen't know anything about The Ramones. Yes, Tommy,Marky,Richie and Elvis ( Clem Burke) has survived, but also CJ who replaced Dee Dee on bass. So not only did the Drummers survive.

Crap- not at all -back in the days saw them live 3 times in a week many weeks, dancing thru the set (they did not play in clubs with chairs) and great opening bands. Sitting on the internet now gets to dismiss the real music of that time. You wish you saw the RAMONES live just once luckily I logged in over 100 times - if you lived it you would realize the rawness the greatness the genius-----the there

How do you figure the Ramones were redundant? The band that influenced thousands to pick up a guitar and play real rock and roll?

In 20 years people will STILL know the Ramones. The other crap that passed as "punk" will be long dead and gone.

I don't know about anyone else but whenever I'm at a venue these days, just seeing people put on guitars or sit behind drums makes me flinch slightly. I mean rock 'n' roll is SO done.

But then I see this and remember how, when stripped to the bone by a cast of characters as glorious as these, it's the best art-form ever.
