@Gonzalez2500 ...and if all skaters showed the courtesy Mark Gonzales shows to people on the street if he, shall we say, inconveniences them. Everybody knows this footage was edited into an amazing vid of Jason Schwartzman's band Coconut Record's song West Coast? Who would think to pair it but is works so well, there are great orchestral swoops in the song that fit the swoops in his skate, plus, the song's about loneliness and Mark looks so different and alone among all the watchers

@jayceebee i could imagine, say, dylan reider or marc johnson's pretentious asses going for it.

i like this a lot. all of the annoying art people crowding around and inside of a skate spot and cramping mark's style. the skating sucks. but shouldn't it? i'm sure the energy in there felt like a ... museum. i fucking love you gonz. you're the single best thing that ever happened to skateboarding.
