Al MacInnis is one of a kind, whether he used a wood stick or composite. His shot was incredible and also noone gave him enough credit for the accuracy.

Hahaha possibly but he could have been getting out of the way to not screen the goalie. 100 mph or not a goalie should make a save from a shot from the blueline. Funny either way, I'd get the hell out of the way that's forsure.

too stiff for me to use in a game also.. it probably only works for Al MacInnis . He conditioned himself to extremes in his youth to get that kind of shot from sticks of that day. At least with modern sticks we can have good shots, without going to such extremes and ruining our ligaments by age 30.

That's cool. I wish I could try that stick even though it would definitely be too stiff for me.

Wow I didn't realize he died until I saw your comment. Not followed hockey for yrs being in the UK there's not much coverage but when I used to follow he was one of my favourite players that St Louis team were great. Extremely sad to hear he's gone :(
