Blackberry Change Trackball Color

This video is the first of two parts because my camera died partway through but I had a backup battery so it's all good.

Here you will learn how to change your trackball color!

You can make it whatever color you like.

THINGS YOU NEED:

-Blackberry 8xxx phone

-Tweezers
-Scotch (clear) tape
-Sharpie marker
-Scissors

STEPS:

-Remove the silver piece. There are three prongs. You must be careful, because it is fragile, and if you break it, you are screwed.

-The trackball comes right out

-Color a piece of tape with a sharpie marker

NOTE: The Blackberry Pearl has a program you can use to change the color of the trackball. This is because with the Pearl, the trackball is lit up by the screen. This is not the case with the Curve, so you must follow these instructions to change the color.

Hi Awesome vid but looks risky. I am thinking of getting the tour and it has a black trackball....you think I can STILL change the color of the LED so it illuminates the solid black ball? Because I didn't notice the silver ring around the trackball. THANKS!

I don't believe so, because with a black trackball no color will show up.

yo u guys i have bb bold 9000 myself i relli do wanna change the ball but i will never do it......the reason is when tht guy had annotations saying if u break one of the slide thing your phone will have issues so why wreck a sick phone just for a flippin colour change i would change the colour by an expert guy not amatuer
