Tonight, I went metal detecting at my cousin's grandmother's house and I found some great stuff! I found my second ever silver coin, and my second wheat penny of 2010! I also found my oldest ever coin, a 1940 Jefferson Nickel. I had a great night hunt and I found some nice old coins.

  • There's about $2.60 worth of Silver in that 1964 dime in today's Silver market (11/22/11). Nice find.

  • Hello Ryan,

Congratz on the dime. Of course it's a rosie. I'm really lacking for wheat pennies and silver coins this year. 8 Wheaties, and 3 silver coins. Pretty pathetic considering I have 1,025 Coins for the year.

  • Thanks RRD! I usually never do night hunts, but when we got home I scanned the yard and the first thing I dug was a wheaty, so I couldn't stop! Good luck to you too and HH!

  • Thanks montanagold! Good luck on your next hunt and HH!
