  • I haven't seen this movie in 26 years, almost brought a tear to my eye.

  • This movie is so overlooked and it's a shame. It was my favorite movie in kindergarten.

  • Fantástico.Este ova fue el antecesor de Dragon Ball XD....Esta es la magia del manga...n_n

  • This work is quite irrelevant to Hayao Miyazaki.

  • cuantas ,memorias I saw this movie like 30 years ago in Spanish one of my favorites

  • @Superbook4Eva Yes, the Discotek one available in North America (and elsewhere on import if you can play region 1s) has the original audio and the old English dub and a choice of subtitles translating the former or transcribing the latter.

  • @dibznsp From Discotek Media's DVD: it has choice of English dub and original Japanese audio and English subtitles. Should be available from most online sellers in North America if you search for "Taro the Dragon Boy;" it can be had for about $13, possibly less if you look through a number of them.

  • its funny because this is goku at the early stage lol no joke

  • @gatewaychichi well let me try to send it from my phone to the computer and take out the audio

  • @NightSirius heyyy no he podido encontrar esa parte de la cancion en español todas lasque he intentado ver esa parte sale en japones :S

  • I got to know this by accident, as well as the [Taro The Dragon Boy] video in the related list and found it a bit surprising. The dragon in this film looks almost like Spirited away's & when i watch [Taro The Dragon Boy] i even feel the music has sth similar to Haku's theme by Hisaishi ~.~

btw I know Miyazaki used to work at Toei but left around 1970, before the time this film released.

I just wonder if this film inspired Miyazaki, or sth during the time at Toei inspired him, or not... ^^
