  • 'I want the feeling of being safe on my streets. I want my children to be smarter than me.' Wow!!!! What a totally beautiful person and amazing talent. So few artists can sound better live than on a CD. Jill Scott is one of the few. Truly inspirational.

    Truth!

I love Nina Simone. Jill Scott is a wonderful poet; it's unfortunate the themes are still what they are today...40 yrs later. History repeats itself.

  • @blkfrench26 TRUTH. It's wonderful to know others feel this way too

  • Did anyone else completely miss that she was talking directly about the government when FIRST hearing this song on the album? i thought she was using metaphors addressing JUST romantic-relationships. When i saw this clip though, it added a whollllle 'nother dimension, and added new meaning.

  • Full of beauty

  • The Revolution will not be televised....or better yet not exploited in mass media consumption.....keep listening people, there are sounds amist.
