River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 5 - Carp Fishing

It's early evening and i'm back on the river Cam for another short 2-3 hour session after the carp. The weeks spent wandering the banks during mid May early June fish spotting and constantly baiting up is starting to pay off as the fish are now regularly visiting the areas to feed.

What a shame that someone has now got there eye's on your spot! Think it bang out of order. If he did'nt know then far enough BUT as he knew that's not really on to be fair.

Did you say that lad had a 30 of your spot???? Was it the same fish?

You've got to keep your spots secret on a river, it's all about location on a river, when I am fishing a river, I always say I've caught nothing to interested partys "not a bleep" I would say. You got to remember people are more keen to poach rivers because of thier lack of security or a bailiff, not saying that kid was a poacher, but you might come back in the future to find the carp have vanished. I know this goes on, but also when the river floods, it can be replenished with carp. ,
