That is a damn clever idea.
That is probably the best Bushcraft idea I've seen in 4 years. Congratulations. Which woods make the best hand drills? Are the woods the same for the hearth and the spindle?

@MrJoeyBoombotz Thank you very much. My personal opinion with hand drill materials are yucca. Yucca drill and yucca fireboard. I've used horseweed and cottonwood too. Seep willow, mullein, teasle, and mulefat works for the drill. Cottonwood is a great fireboard. Hope this helps.
