The Sunbeam tabloid format (or the "attractive news" format, in the words of Edmund Ansin) premiered on November 1, 1993. Therefore, "The One to Watch" campaign from the NETV reign folded on Halloween '93.
WCVB had renewed their affiliation with ABC, and in fact, during the switch, they ran some spots with ABC entertainment and news stars telling WCVB viewers "I'm not going anywhere!".
I recall Roseanne Barr and Peter Jennings were among those that did promos.
Was Anthony hiding underneath a rock by July of 1994? "The One to Watch" basically got killed very close to the format change in late 1993, even though Sunbeam still owned them prior, I should note. And the tabloid format kicked into the New Year of 1994.
If 7 doesn't get any better with NBC going into the toilet, maybe David Mugar can get a bargain on it and re create News 7 - again, but it might be scarce getting news talent, because it would be too expensive. I think Mr. Ansin will still be a billionaire, still be in the Forbes richest people while WSVN is still making the run for their money 20 years now. The tabloid format helped HDH's ratings because of the strength of the Must See TV - if that wasn't the case - they wouldn't have been #1.
Would you PLEASE NBC Universal,Gannett Company,Post Newsweek Stations or Cox Enterprises BUY WHDH-TV.
Would you PLEASE FCC strip Sunbeam Communications away from WHDH-TV although I want WHDH-TV to remain an NBC Affiliate however with new ownership and plus I want Jay Leno to air at 10:00PM in the Boston TV Market when it begins in September.

@Macduck92 That was right around the time Westinghouse, owners of WBZ-TV, merged with CBS.

I agree with Mac...remember that in 1994, NBC had Seinfeld, the NBA, The Tonight Show, and I believe, the MLB and NFL
