Bittersweet

Written by Rumi
Read by Madonna
Remixed by Barney Medunic

In my hallucination
I saw my Beloved's flower garden
In my vertigo
In my dizziness
In my drunken haze
Whirling and dancing like a spinning wheel

I saw myself as the source of existence
I was there in the beginning
And I was the Spirit of Love
Now I am sober
There is only the hangover
And the memory of love
And only the sorrow
I yearn for happiness
I ask for help
I want mercy

And my Love says
"Look at me and hear me
Because I am here just with that"

I am your moon and your moonlight too
I am your flower garden and your water too
I have come all this way eager for you
Without shoes or shawl

I want you to laugh
To kill all your worries
To love you
To nourish you

Oh the sweet bitterness
I will soothe you and heal you
I will bring you roses
I too have been covered with thorns

  • very nice poem from very great great iranian poet , Molana , god bless iran and iranian people over the world

  • I AM SO FREAKEN JELOUSE!!!!!!!

  • The affects are beautiful

    What program did you use?

  • his actual beliefs can be found in writings he wrote himself where he said I am the servant of the Quran as long as I have life. I am the dust on the path of Muhammad, the Chosen one. If anyone quotes anything except this from my sayings I am quit of him and outraged by these words.

  • furthermore, the poem in which he states that: (I am not Christian Jew Zoroastrian Muslim) was not found in his earliest manuscripts so probably not genuine.

  • although its good rumi is still popular in the west as he as always been, even amongst christians, they have taken the islam away from rumi, his middle name was mohammed, his father awas an muslim imam and himself a muslim scholar. his poems have no meaning without the quran and the father of sufis imam ali, which a loat of his poems are derived from. they have taken his middle name mohammed, and islam away from rumi.

  • Beautiful~~

  • OMG i cried... thanks for making this ;_;
