Montage Film Reviews is the first internet project by Eskimofinn Productions. What we seek to do here is create a truly independent platform for film. By 'truly' independent we mean free of all of the politics that goes on behind the scenes of the film world.

We do not accept payments from film corporations to promote their films and stars above those who cannot afford to pay. We do not employ news feeders and wire services in a bid to bring you an original take on what is going on. We do not take on sponsors who generally insist on having a say in how things are run which usually results in corporate pressures and a veto on creativity. We care about your intellectual health and as a result we do not intentionally dumb things down or spoon feed you celebrity gossip.

Montage Film Reviews does all it can to assist those film-makers who fall outside the system and/or are at the beginning of their careers. As a result not all of the films covered on the website have distribution deals and are widely available to be viewed by the public. We try to encourage film-makers to self distribute in this instance and assist them by giving them this exposure. In doing this we hope to widen your choice and interest in film past the usual multiplex fodder.




Montage is intended to be a complete cinematic experience that incorporates a video podcast, an audio podcast, a biography section, a blog, a books section, a calendar, its own festival, a gallery, a reviews section and an e-mail fortnightly newsletter.
