Love him or loath him, Phil McCan had a unique sound and was a brilliant technician on the cornet. This is quite an old recording taken from vinyl so sorry about the quality but quite enjoyable nontheless.

  • Genius! That is all 👍

  • 240p, we meet again!

  • @trumpetpete No. It isn't.

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!.

  • pure class!!!!

  • @trumpetpete with the greatest of respect this is simply awesome, this is written for the violin for any cornet player to even attempt to play it is simply phenominal. Have a listen to nigel kennedy play this & have a look at the sheet music to see how ty brilliant this rendition is. What lets it down is its not made for cornet & double tonguing is not enough t, it needs somewhere between double & triple tonguing which i don't think is possible. Simply the best all round cornet player ever

  • Sound is good but the double tounging is very hit and miss

  • Such a shame this brilliant recording bears the scratches of the original record. Such it is with vinyl!

  • awesome, thanks for post!
