Stand Up Comedy

My first ever appearance as a stand-up comedian. So, here's the story:

Last Thursday night, my friend Luke suddenly informs me that I'm scheduled to be doing standup at his bi-weekly show on Sunday night. Now, this was news to me. I was in the middle of moving to a new apartment and doing two videos over the weekend, so I wasn't going to have any time to come up with some last minute routine. But Luke, my good friend that he is and all, asked me to please not bail on him, that my name was already on the fliers and everything.

So, I bit the bullet and resigned myself to potential public embarassment on a mass scale. And now I'm sharing it with the world on the internet to further that.

Pretty much everything that could go wrong did. My set got delayed by about over an hour. The microphone was terminally malfunctioning. There was a band setting up and cleaning stage behind me. People were drunk. I had no prep time.

But yeah, in the end, I know I WROTE a pretty funny routine, but I could've done better with the delivery. I just got a little flustered, but all in all, it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the first-night horror stories I've heard about.

man this pisses me off, you should of gone some where were the crowd wernt a bunch of inerrupting ass hole hecklers, trust me it would of been a lot better, you would kick ass if you did that, try looking up some local comedy places that know what there doing and do open mic night every week
