I hope this master can reproduce back the lion style of the 80's, he is someone who is capable of doing that , rather than to follow the common looking lion which is flooded throughout the whole world with that one kind of looks. I suggest more traditional elements like, the strokes and colour be added back, and hopefully the looks to be more fearsome looking. My 2 cents worth..
I admire his passion and dedication to preserve the art of lion making in Singapore, it is a sad reality that local craftsman is making way for cheaper foreign imports of mass production.
Quality issues may arise from inferior workmanship though not all have this problem.
Apparently, Singapore still have a few master craftmans who still can make good lion head which looks different from that of mass production. I am proud of their work too as they have their own distinctive and style.
