Way back in 2007, presidential candidate Ron Paul came up with the idea of a tea party on the Potomac and now feels that the astro-turf has stolen his idea and dumped it on the less than thoughtful reactionary right wing-nut followers of faux-noise and their wannabes. As long as the media portrays the tea parties as a Republican event, it can swept away as nonsense. The failure of the media to realize that the tea party movement is primarily made up of third party voters, shows there lack of intelligence. Its funny how the media does its best to demonize those that are smart enough to realize that government spending got us in this mess, therefore, more spending cannot get us out. My ideal candidate would combine the best aspects of both Paul and Kucinich, and there is already overlap in several key areas - MIC, war on drugs, govt out of people's private lives, being only a few examples. Paul and Kucinich can at least think outside the "party box". That's healthy. We do not need more mainstream Reagan conservatism.
