@oOMuzikLovaOo - I agree with you 100%. Sri Lanka is a home for not only sinhalese, but tamils, muslims and others living in Sri Lanka. Nobody has the right to take away the identity of 'home' away from you and others. The history maybe sinhalese buddhist, but being a buddhist is living with acceptance too!!
sinhalese extremists are just as bad as LTTE supporters!!
I hope that Sri Lanka will always be OUR "home"

Tamils are free to cross the Plak streit & move back to Tamil Nadu.
There has never been a Tamil country in Sri Lanka, and there never ever will be one. The Tamil country is in Tamil Nadu.
The more you tell your lies the more suffering & hatred.
I am Tamil, & I am quite okay with the fact that my roots are more planted in India than in SL. The civilisation in Sri Lanka is Sinhalese & Buddhist, not Tamil Hindu, & that's how it's going to be, unless change comes naturally.

Why are they still saying the same lies and poisoning the Tamil people's mind? It is very sad that the library was burnt, but nothing old and irreplaceable was lost.
It is a known fact that the Tamil community didn't have any written records. All the historians, both Tamil, Sinhalese and foreign from the late 1800 onwards have written that there are no written Tamil records to trace Tamil history in Sri Lanka and that they have to rely on the Sinhalese writings. This is a known fact.

What do you want the Tamil people to do? They are part of Sri Lanka too. People like you should be given the same treatment as we gave the LTTE.
Sinhalese like you are a disgrace to your whole race.
If you even come near the Jaffna Library you will get the same treatment as any other terrorist.

Tamils can't reed Books...
They like only guns & bombs...
I'll burn Jaffna library again !

So that guy would prefer to see the burnt libray remain as a reminder of hatred rather than see a new libray built as a sign of reconciliation. ????

i feel better to live in a castle than a normal home

no one ever talks about the 3 policemen who were killed that day by the tamils. the tamils brought this upon themselves and have no one to blame but themselves. infact the police showed restraint in only burning down a library and not killing people. even a million books will never equal even one life lost.

Agreed. These people--the West, specifically--do not let the wounds heal. Even now, they are broadcasting anti-sri lankan programs on BBC, not to mention CNN; these shows are made to rouse and incense the Tamil people--to push them to take up arms and further this conflict in hope of creating discord in Sri Lanka.
books are precious

tamils are not only hindu, people have different beliefs (religion), im a tamil and im not hindu, and another point is that sri lanka is the homeland for many tamils, its our country too, the singalease need to learn to share, and telling them to move to india is like telling u to get out of wherever ur libing and go to a different country, u no its their "home" and it means alot to every tamil
