I was lucky enough to see her in the stage production of Timbuktu...she was awesome...she died Christmas day of 08 the same year my mother died...she really liked Ms. Kitt...fascinating lady...race was something she referred as being happy she didn't belong to any group...her dad was a white sharecropper and her mother was half black and indian..she was rejected by all those races..strong woman to survive that...and a very small lady but big in heart and character..survivor :)
