Is that a fact, or just your opinion? o.O
Also, I don't think I'm important. I also don't think I'm the brightest person. In fact, I'm pretty sure we both look like idiots bickering back and fourth for no reason. Do you agree?

I can't necessarily say I was having fun. =/
I have to strongly disagree with you about reading a book the second time. After you know the entire story, and you pick it up from the beginning again, you can see all these little clues and references, as well as get an even deeper understanding of the story. With excellent authors reading a book for the second time is often as incredible as reading it for the first time.

I completely understand your argument. However what you gain through reading a dense book a second time is a correction of the mistakes of interpretation due to a limited retention (that we all have). You can also notice the hints you didn't notice that the author put in to point towards future events.

So let me redefine "read" for this specific example. When I say read, I mean learn the events within the works to a very high degree. Some people might need to read a book three times because they sort of skim the book instead of spend time with each page.

And yet still, there is a sense of "less gained" with every pass. And only in works from truly incredible imaginations can it be said that a second pass through a book offers more imagination enrichment than pulling out a different, good book.
