What's next for Maryland's Public Schools? We've made real progress over the past four years, but many schools lack the tools and resources they need to help all students succeed. See what could happen if Maryland legislators cut education funding to balance the state's budget.

Maybe you wife is underpaid or needs to find a job where she will be paid what she is worth. No teacher should spend $10,000.00 a year of their money for the class room.

By the way I think you are underrporting her income and over reporting he out of pock expenses.

Do you writh off The $10,000.00 from you personal income tax?

If you were smart you would see that I said that the schools are missmanaged and spend to much money on things other than the class room.

  • @JustTheFax Your an idiot. My wife is a teacher, has a PHD in education, and barely makes $35k per year. In addition, she has to spend over $10k of her own money for supplies. That takes away from our family. Please, open your eyes and stop being so ignorant. I really hope that you are just joking.

  • I am impressed with the presentation of this critical information.

  • Every year the educrats and the union suck up more and more of the money.

The kids and the teachers get less and less while the tax payers pay more and more.

Then they push this guilt trip crap on us.

    Screw U

  • the only reason I commented on this is because I teach a dance class that has one of the girls in this video in it, but I am going to say that despite it's hokeyness, there are many many many schools all over america in this condition, if not worse. I have attended them. Stop being a slave to your political party and face the truth.

  • There is no way a great and caring teacher is paid too much. I suggest R.I.D. the remainder of below undeveloped comment.

Now- Thanks for letting us know the threat that school funding is under legislatively in MD. That's a Suicidal/Homocidal Hawkish Adminstration's SBD flatulence from way over DC... and it stinks and pollutes beyond comprehension.

  • Over the top is right, using lies to gain sympathy for massive tax hikes is wrong.

The idiots in the schools can present the truth and maybe I would agree schools need more funding.

As I see it school funding is excessive and the management of the funds they have is poor. If a business owner ran a business like the run the schools, he would either be in jail of bankrupt.

Schools have plenty of funding, they must use the money better.

  • JustTheFax, when was the last time you were in a school? While some of this vid may be over the top (classes in an outdoor parking lot?), the public school my child attends has classes that are too large and teachers who work from 6:30 in the morning until late at night. His middle school has enough room for the kids, but the back fields of the elementary school he went to is filled with trailer-classrooms. And that's in one of Maryland's relatively wealthy counties.
