I swapped out my 500GB drive for a larger 2TB drive. The 500GB was functionally fine, but was just running out of capacity.

Since I am a Mac user the majority of the time, I wanted my Drobo drives formatted in a Mac format. So, I formatted my drives in Mac HFS Plus (OSX Extended - Journaled). FYI, when I use the Windows machine to access the drives I have to use a great little utility called MacDrive 9.

Cheers.
