    Can you provide the measurements for the geese. How to determine the sizes you need. Also only problem I see now is you need to stitch these down to prevent these getting caught or moved when sewing.

    this is not REALLY a 1 seam flying geese block, because if you wanted to join the pieces like he did for his quilt you'd have to sew the "pockets" closed in order not to have pockets to collect debris in......so that would mean more than 1 seam.

    otherwise an interesting to make the blocks

    There is a seam allowance, that is why the folded edge is not to the edge. It is 1/4" away from the edge, giving you the seam allowance.

    Love this method. So much for all those rulers. Just tried this method in a class. Worked like a charm. You do need to know the proper ratio between the squares and rectangles to make different sizes.  They didn't mention that on the video.For example, I used fabric from a charm pack for the rectangles which made them 5" instead of 5.5. The squares were cut 2.5". This method is so slick.
