The Frames of Reality program within the Peres Center for Peace's Culture, Media & Arts Department, is a unique peacebuilding endeavor catering to some 20 Palestinian and Israeli professional photojournalists. Through the annual program, photojournalists partake in 10-12 workshops led by professional lecturers from both sides, as well as a professional photography exhibition which displays the fascinating and often-times moving photographs shot by the Palestinian and Israeli photojournalists who participated in the program. The exhibition covers a large range of topics and perspectives, from shots of Palestinian homes in the shadow of the Separation Fence to daily life in the Old City of Jerusalem, and photos of young children who are working as child laborers as well as scenes from Druze mourning rituals and more. In parallel to the exhibition, a full-color book which features the photographs, has been produced, with personal text by the photographers presented in three languages.
