Runescape HowTo - Sawmill Training
Tutorial by PilsberrryFroBoy
Runescape Mally753
Hello there and welcome to my tutorial! I'm Mally753.
Now, first we start by talking to the Overseer.
There are few options once you click her. She doesn't provide much help, and no rewards.
You may be thinking, "So what's the point of Sawmill Training if you don't get rewards?"
Don't fret, you do indeed get rewards. And I'll tell you.. Lots of Woodcutting xp!
Now click the job board. There are two 'jobs' for you to choose: A Large job and a Quick job.
I chose a Large job for now. Large jobs do give you more xp. That's if you're using the Crystal saw. (I'll tell you more about that later)
Start picking up logs that fill your inventory (with a saw as well)
After all of the logs are picked up, head over to the Conveyor belt hopper and drop in the logs by clicking on it.
As you may have already guessed, the hopper transports the logs down to the end of the conveyor belt, cutting it into two planks, and dropping them in a bin at the end.
The bin can hold a little over two inventory fulls of planks, about 63 logs. That's 126 planks for those who don't know.
Now that we're almost done with this step, let's head over to the bin to get a closer look.
The planks that were made from the logs exit the conveyor belt here. From here, you can pick up them from the bin and into your inventory. Click the first option.
Now your character will pick all that they can hold, 27 planks.
Here is the key usually seen in the top left-hand corner when in the area:
This key shows how many of which piece needed to complete the job.
Next, click one of the two Workbenches. Four options will come up.
The first option, the Straight Cut, makes two pieces a plank, one short and one long.
The second option is the Diagonal Cut. This too makes two pieces from one plank. So make sure you're typing in half the amount that it says on the key.
So for example, if the amount on the key says the job calls for 20 Diagonally cut pieces, hit the 'Make 10' so it will cut 20 pieces.
The third option is the Tooth & Groove Cut. Again, this cut creates two pieces from one plank. This is the third hardest cut to make.
Finally, the Curve Cut. This is the hardest cut to make, so make sure you have enough planks.
Make sure you don't go over the requirements. If you do, don't worry, it's just more xp for you.
Whenever you begin to cut over the requirement, click off the Workbench and you will stop cutting, causing the board in mid-air glitch. Return cutting after this.
Random fact: One Large job gives approximately 12k Woodcutting xp (w/ Crystal Saw), a Quick job is half of that. The Quick jobs might be shorter, but they offer the same amount of xp in a longer time.
Oh, and feel free to hit 'Make X' and type in the amount that you would like to cut. I am just hitting 'Make All' cause I get lazy!
Now is the last step to finishing the job. Talk to the Overseer! Right click on her and hit 'Finish Job.'
A box will pop up asking if you're sure that you want to give up the pieces. If you've double checked that you have the requirements, hit 'Yes.'
So yeah! That's basically it.
I hope all you guys engoyed this tutorial and don't forget to Subscribe to my page for new videos coming soon!

Oh, hi there. Sorry about that. Now about the Crystal saw.
The box with a picture that represents a saw on it is a crate which has normal saws. So if you ever need them they're right there.
Now I will start talking about the Crystal saw and how highly recommended they are for Sawmill Training.
Crystal saws can be obtained from the quest Eyes of Goulphrie, a not so hard quest.
First off, let me say what the saw does. It does not need to be charged after time when being used during Sawmill Training. If used for anything else, it will lose its charges.
It also has two very nice qualities about it that parts it from a normal saw.
For one, it looks amazing compared ot the old clunker of metal that is the normal saw. Just look at it!
And here's the good thing: It almost doubles the xp gained from cutting compared to the other saws. That's a lot of xp you can't afford to waste.
Just some other stuff I know about Sawmill training..
..Is that compared to Quick jobs, Large jobs give you twice the amount of xp. So, make sure you click a Large job, not a Quick one.
So, what have you learned from this extra long video?
