Air France 773 landing on runway 06R at YUL

Air France 777-300ER landing on runway 06R at Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport. This airplane is brand new and has only been flying with Air France since the beginning of August. The size of the engines on the Boeing 777 never cease to amaze me.

I think AF uses 744s to YUL. AF says they are going to use A380s From Paris-Montreal.

@richard165s Air France has been using the A380 to YUL on a daily basis since late April. They also use the B744 a few times a week.

Where in the video is the flare? I am trying to figure that out. Is that when the pilot lifts the nose up slightly right as the back wheels are preparing to hit the runway(at :29 secs)?

@Cappadoccia04 Yes, you got it exactly right. The flare helps to slow the aircraft thereby killing off the last few feet before touchdown. It also assists in making sure that the main gear touch first providing a nice smooth landing. If you ever get the chance, watch a large bird such as a seagull come in to land. They also use the flare.
