Another clip from Jon Bon Jovi at the Edwards rally in Raleigh, November 2004. This is a cool song as well...Jon really sang his butt off that night. Anyone who has a full perfomance of this song please write me!

  • What was the setlist to this show, I see nothing about it anywhere?

  • It wasn't a Bon Jovi show, but a rally for John Edwards for the 2004 Presidential campaign. It was just Jon and Lorenza, and Jon played five songs in between speeches from different people. The songs played were "Livin' On A Prayer," "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love And Understanding," "Wanted Dead Or Alive," "I Am A Patriot," and Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down."

  • sucks that your video cut off

  • I agree! I wish the camera I was using had enough memory to capture the full show...Jon was really great that night.

  • No my friend the previous poster is Correct...its Stevie Van Zandts tune. And Little Stevens version is awesome.

  • I agree that its a great song but its NOT a Jackson Browne composition. It was written by Little Steven and the original version appears on his 1984 album "VOICE OF AMERICA" the title cut which Jackson has also covered...

  • The song seems a modern version of "This land is your land."

  • That's cool, I knew Jon did a few of these shows a while back. He sounds great on the two songs you uploaded, thanks for putting them up :D

  • I agree with you that its a great song but...it is NOT a Jackson Browne composition. Little Steven wrote it and the original studio version appears on his 1984 "VOICE OF AMERICA" album (the title cut which Browne has also covered on a b-side...).

  • Its a Jackson Browne song for anyone who has posted a comment here. True Little Steven has covered it, but so has a legion of others who feel that this song some twenty years after it was wrote needs to be heard.

PS Eddie does a great verson, but give credit to the man that brought it to our heros. Jackson Browne you are a PATRIOT

  • but think it was eddie vedder that brought it back
