Chevy Titan ended production in 1980, and the Astro ended in late 1987.

Have a 79 Astro with 8V71. Put 30,000 miles on it this year.

Oh yeah. The GMC ASTRO aka The Nutscratcher lol. windshield dipped so far down you could see a clear view of driver doing a little knuckle shuffle!

you sure thats a 79'???? 1983 and 1984 they changed there design to what you have, bigger grill and the cab designed changed near the front wheel wells, you have a rare truck right there, they only made very few, 1984 they stopped all production of the chevy titan and gmc astro.

@mtvjackass74 I am very sure it is a 79' I have the title and own the truck, besides that it has the push type door handles w/the steel doors last year of the steel doors was 79' they were made of fiberglass from 1980 to 1987 when GM quit building heavy duty trucks. And you could get a big grill on the Astro "as an option" as early as 1978, The cab was the same cab in 1969 to 1987 And the last year for the Chevy Titan90 was 1980, And yes it is a Royal classic Astro95 very rare.

@Slackerjr92 Yes it is the optional exhaust from the factory when the truck rolled down the assembly line.
