Ok first of all, Sam Rasoul is seriously campaigning for the 6th district. I have met Sam and he is dedicated to this campaign and working for the best interests of the people. I have also worked vigorously on his campaign since the summer, heading to areas all over my district. For the record, local Democratic organizations have given him money, however he has rejected those funds.

You guys are heartless. First off, he's 27, he's educated, he's a good guy, not a bad thing has been found about him. There's no such thing as "Congressional" you all are clowns. I earned a PhD and made my living studying policy & Congress, you have not a clue what Congressmen are really like, and we would be very fortunate if someone like Rasoul was elected and brought in to fight through the widespread corruption in our government.

I'm okay with a cheap ad. That can't be helped when no one is supporting you financially. The problem is that stupid gimmicky beginning that makes Sam look not ready for primetime. He doesn't seem to get that making a middle school type ad and refusing to wear a tie makes him anything but Congressional. Also, his myopic focus on a single issue no one cares about is killing him. Dems better pray he fades into oblivion after this election.

Sometimes even a shoe-string budget needs professional help. Please, Sam. Don't waste money on running this ad on TV. Nothing would be worse for you than offending every Democrat who hears that "not even my own party" line. Go to Take 24 or something!

That's a ridiculous comment swvirginian. This campaign has made me interested in district politics again! This is what a campaign should be, grassroots, humble. His opponent barely knows who Sam is, much rather cares to think Sam has a chance!? Is that what a race should be about. The American political system has become broken, small-time candidates like this are what is going to fix it.

This might be the single worst campaign commercial in the history of the free world. "I'm not even taking money from my own party." No sir...no one is giving you money...not even your own party.
Agreed. Mr Smith goes to Washington meets busch league. This is horrible. Sam...hire some professionals. This ad is abysmal.

Now, of course I realize that Sam is not seriously running for office, and simply using this campaign as an out of state money laundering scheme. What I do not understand, is why he does not at least pretend to be serious about the election.
He dresses and presents himself as the type person you would find on any given weekend, drunk and chasing girls, downtown at Corned Beef and Company.
I can not believe he has been taken seriously by anyone. What a joke...
