It breaks my heart to see animals in such conditions but it hurts more to know that the penalties for pup mill violations are not as harsh as they should be and that many places allow them to continue operating. Dogs are beautiful creatures that deserve the best treatment possible. I hope one day I can work with the ASPCA to fight animal cruelty and establish harsher laws against violators.

Oh, you poor thing. I'm glad that it died in a loving home rather than a situation like this or any of the other terrible things we do to innocent companion animals. Sorry for your loss. :(
