Chino Hills Drum Line Motivate 2009 Great Oak SCPA WGI Dayton

The name of this show is called "Motivate", a very entertaining and fast paced drum line show that depicts how one person has the power to change the world for good or bad. Ultimately, the Chino Hills drum line went on to compete in the WGI Percussion World Championship at the University of Dayton Arena, in Dayton, OH.

On Saturday April 18th 2009 during finals competition, the Chino Hills Drum Line performed in front of thousands of cheering spectators, not including a vast worldwide audience who watched the show live via the Internet. Their enthusiastic performance generated a standing ovation and won them 3rd place in the top rated Percussion Scholastic World category (Chino Hills now holds the highest PSW World Championship score west of Ohio).

It was fun for the students to see themselves as celebrities on the local evening news. In addition, they met with top music industry personalities, such as Mr. Vic Firth, and video taped by leading percussion vendors for use in their marketing materials.
